MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2008 May 04 Observer(s): Sivakoff Institution(s): OSU Instrument: CCDS Worked for 9 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 0.8 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate Mid: Seeing 0.8 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate End: Seeing 1 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Moderate Observing Summary: Spectra taken of 5 candidate galaxy cluster members plus appropriate calibration. There were a few very small patches of clouds to the northwest and haze at sunset but otherwise clear. Night may have beegun photometric. However, some periods of dramatic drops in the guide star flux, probably due to thin layers of clouds and some clouds at sunrise to the east suggest the night was not photometric. Variable seeing when pointing into the wind. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2008 May 5 [6:24:06]
