MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2008 May 24 Observer(s): Djordjevic, Terndrup Institution(s): Ohio State Instrument: 8K Worked for 6 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate Mid: Seeing 3 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate End: Seeing 2.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Stellar rotation in young and intermediate-age open clusters. The telescope's collimation seems to be way off, making one of our primary programs impossible. We can, however, work on our backup programs in less-crowded fields. Telescope worked well otherwise - and our thanks to the staff who completed the aluminization last week. Really poor seeing and high winds at first. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2008 May 25 [3:55:33]
