MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2008 Oct 11

Instrument: Direct + Echelle

Worked for 7 hours (last half of the night)
Conditions were Mixed most of the night.
No equipment or software problems were encountered.

Seeing and Weather:
   Clouds from 6pm until 11pm.
   Beg: Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable
   Mid: Seeing 1.1 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm
   End: Seeing 1.7 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable

Observing Summary:

The remains of hurricane Norbert sent some patchy clouds
this way at the start of the night. Humidity dropped, 
however, the sky cleared up for good around 11pm, and 
I resumed observing.

The temperature also went down significantly, and the 
mirror obviously had trouble keeping up, which affected 
the seeing noticeably. (Plus it's really starting to feel
like winter here!)

No technical problems encountered.
