MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observer's Report for 2008 Oct 27 Observer(s): Milisavljevic Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: MkIII + Templeton Worked for 10 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing >1.7 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: A reasonable night of observing. Clear skies the entire evening. A bit windy at first (around 15 mph) with ~1.5 arcsecond seeing. Seeing improved mid-evening but always remained variable overall. Conditions worsened toward morning, with seeing blossoming > 2 arcsecond. Various supernovae and supernova remnants were observed. No problems with the telescope/instrument. However, the toggle on the DTI box to switch between direct and digital seems less responsive than usual. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2008 Oct 28 [6:37:35]
