MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2009 Dec 03 Observer(s): zhu, zhao Institution(s): University of Michigan Instrument: TIFKAM Worked for 15 hours (all night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Fog all night. Beg: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 2 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Starting with 1.5 seeing in the early night, we obtained photometry for 4 sources. Then seeing gets worse to 2 . Around 12:00am, temperature suddenly drops 0.5 C and seeing improves significantly. With improving seeing, our source saturates and we stops our command script. However, without finishing the script, the telescope is at a different position. We spend 50 minutes to get the telescope point to the exact same position as before (Our project require one pixel accuracy for pointing with the help of guiding). Then the rest of night is OK with seeing 1-1.5 . ------------------------------ Submitted on 2009 Dec 4 [6:54:09]
