MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2009 Feb 13 Observer(s): John Thorstensen & Eliza Gonsalves Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: echelle CCD + buckeye FW Worked for 12.5 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate Observing Summary: Photometric, with variable seeing, much like last night. Seeing numbers are rough, as it changed a fair amount. It got colder and colder (to -2 C) and the RH started to climb at the end, but it only reached 80% by dawn. This might be the end of the good weather for a while ... Equipment worked very well. The only glitch was that I scratched my finger on a small metal burr on the inner collar of the doorknob going out into the dome at the end of the night -- a few minutes with a file would cure that problem! ------------------------------ Submitted on 2009 Feb 14 [7:12:40]
