MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2009 Feb 15 Observer(s): John Thorstensen, Eliza Gonsalves Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: Echelle CCD + Buckeye FW Worked for 7 hours (last half of the night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds from start until 11 PM. Beg: Overcast, Winds Moderate Mid: Seeing 1.5-2 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Moderate End: Seeing 1-1.5 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Cloudy at start, but around 11 PM it cleared off partially -- there was cirrus for the rest of the night, but mostly it wasn't very thick. Much of the night was windy with rather mediocre seeing, up to 2 arcsec at time, but it got a bit crisper toward the end. Humidity is pretty low. These last four nights were Mike Shara and Sebastien Lepine's -- I covered for them when Sebastien couldn't make it (our program is shared). The next three are Mukremin Kilic's -- another collaborator -- so I will switch to Kilic's program. The instrumentation is identical. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2009 Feb 16 [7:02:36]
