MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2009 Jun 03 Observer(s): John Tobin and Hsin-Fang Chiang Institution(s): Michigan Instrument: TIFKAM Worked for 9.0 hours (all night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds all night. Beg: Seeing 0.9 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate Mid: Seeing 1.0 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate End: Seeing 0.8 arcsec, Overcast, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Overall a pretty decent night. Conditions were good until about 3am when clouds started moving in. Seeing was reasonably good at least 1 for the entire night and at times subarcsecond. We imaged several target fields and took spectra of two protostars and two Hipparcos standards. The J-band filter still not parfocal with the H and Ks bands. Though we were only observing J-band at high arimass which may affect the focus. I haven't used J-band very much so this might be a feature of the instrument I wasn't aware of. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2009 Jun 4 [4:44:24]
