MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2009 Jun 15 Observer(s): John Thorstensen Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: Modspec + echelle CCD Worked for 8 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1+ arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Moderate Mid: Seeing 1 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1- arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: A very nice night; just a little high cloud from time to time, and a bit windy early in the night. No telescope problems at all, and I did go down to nearly 6h east to catch some targets, without any tracking issues. At one point during the night I noticed that the drinking water dispenser was dripping -- water was leaking slowly from the seal at the base of the bottle. I tried to snug it down a bit by wiggling the bottle. All done with spectroscopy for now, please do switch to direct today. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2009 Jun 16 [5:06:00]
