MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2009 Mar 07 Observer(s): John Thorstensen Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: modspec+echelle CCD Worked for 9 hours (most of the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: The night started out near-photometric with just a few wisps of cirrus, and with decent seeing, but quite a bright moon. Around 1:30, cirrus started coming in pretty heavily. I was able to work on brighter targets through holes for a while, but finally gave up around 5 when the conditions deteriorated somewhat more. Also ran timeseries measurements on the 1.3 m in the first half. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2009 Mar 8 [5:47:10]
