MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2009 Mar 18 Observer(s): Paterson & co. Institution(s): Columbia Instrument: CCDS Worked for 12 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Another beautiful night, took lots of good data. We had some difficulty with the centering of the grating, as when it was well centered in the blue (4050 A) and shifted up to the red (6600) we found we were off about 70 A. This was fairly easy to correct for. We also lost about 15 minutes when we forgot to clear the chip of the builtup charge before beginning our exposure. Thanks for another great run! ------------------------------ Submitted on 2009 Mar 19 [6:16:04]
