MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2009 Nov 05

Instrument: Direct + Echelle

Worked for 12 hours (all night)
Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night.
No equipment or software problems were encountered.

Seeing and Weather:
   Clouds all night.
   Beg: Seeing 1.0 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm
   Mid: Seeing 1.1 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable
   End: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm

Observing Summary:

Sky was clear in the first half of the night but patchy clouds
showed up around 2am. Had to pause observations for about half 
an hour. After that I was able to find holes in the sky, and 
only a few image sequences were affected by extinction from
thin clouds. Observed 23 parallax targets plus photometric 
standards.

On four different times I got  Error encountered in 
asynchronous read  from the chip, losing the exposure.
It is not unusual that I get such an error on occasion,
but never four in a single night.
