MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2009 Sep 06 Observer(s): Oey, Pellegrini Institution(s): Michigan Instrument: CCDS Worked for 7 hours (most of the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: High Humidity from 15:00 until 21:30. Beg: Seeing 1 arcsec, Overcast, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: This morning we initiated a shutdown of the telescope and instrument computers at approximately 11:00am. This was due to a passing thunderstorm and immediate threat of lightning. Threatening clouds remained, so we waited until early evening to reboot the computers with no major issues (see Trouble Report ). The persistence of high humidity outside the dome forced us to remain closed until 09:30pm. Onice open we obtained standard star observations in between clouds. Despite clear patches, clouds obscured our targets until approximately 11:30. At that time we began observing our program with no further interruptions until dawn. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2009 Sep 7 [6:21:17]
