MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2010 Dec 03

Worked for 12 hours (all night)
Conditions were Mixed most of the night.
No equipment or software problems were encountered.

Seeing and Weather:
   Clouds all night.
   Beg: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm
   Mid: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm
   End: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable

Observing Summary:

~100 spectra acquired for candidate Praesepe and NGC 752 members.  
Lost ~1 hour at the beginning of the night to electronics issues: 
we noticed pattern noise in the detector, and attempted to fix it 
by resetting and rebooting CCDCOM and the controller electronics, 
only to have the electronics refuse to come back online. The 
pattern noise persisted once we did get the controller back, but 
we forged ahead.  Weather was not great, but not horrible -- a mag 
or three of cloud cover through various points during the night.
