MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2010 Jan 03 Observer(s): Shields Institution(s): Ohio University Instrument: OSMOS Worked for 5 hours (part of the night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm End: Cirrus, Winds Calm Observing Summary: First night of OSMOS run for quasar spectroscopy. Made reasonable progress in climbing the OSMOS learning curve during the first half of the night, but encountered problems mostly computer related that made observing difficult/impossible during the second part.
