MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2010 Jul 03

Worked for 9 hours (all night)
Conditions were Photometric most of the night.
No equipment or software problems were encountered.

Seeing and Weather:
   Beg: Seeing 1.8 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate
   Mid: Seeing 1.6 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate
   End: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable

Observing Summary:

The patchy clouds of previous nights were not an issue
this time; skies were clear. However the seeing was not
the best, hovering above 1.5 arcsec most of the night.
The night was productive nevertheless, with 13 science 
targets observed.

There was a power glitch on Saturday morning, which the 
failing UPS did not cover. All the computers rebooted. The
camera was not behaving after the glitch, so I did a
complete shutdown and power up. Getting pictures after that
went OK, but there still seems to be a problem with the utility
board: the ut command in CCDCOM displays numbers that don't
make sense. I tried resetting the electronics, but it did
not fix the problem. Not sure what should be done, or how 
much it matters.
