MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2010 Jun 28 Observer(s): Tobin and Hsu Institution(s): Michigan Instrument: TIFKAM Worked for 8 hours (all night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: A bit of a mediocre night, seeing was quite poor for most of the night and patchy clouds at the beginning of the night. Started off the night with a problem, the IE went down however this appears to have just been a loose power cable. I pushed the power cable back in, it came back on and it came back after running startup in prospero. After this we observed 4 targets and at the end of the night the same quadrant started reading out garbage again at about the same time as the previous night at exposure 396. We attempted to correct this by resetting the HE, then the IE wouldn't come back. We then restarted the IC and everything came back and the bad quadrant is now giving good data again. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2010 Jun 29 [5:12:04]
