MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2010 Nov 04

Worked for 12 hours (all night)
Conditions were Mixed most of the night.
Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details.

Seeing and Weather:
   Clouds from 18:00 until 12:00.
   Beg: Seeing 1.7 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm
   Mid: Seeing 1.6 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm
   End: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm

Observing Summary:

Tonight went much more smoothly.  There were some cirrus clouds above in the
morning and evening, but there was a break around the middle of the night so I
managed to get some imaging done.  Unfortunately, by the time the clouds
cleared, the UKIDSS UDS field had nearly set, so I only got one image of it.
After UDS fell low in the sky I moved on to get a few images of 3C186.  The
imaging was bookended by some spectroscopy of Henderson's stars at the beginning
of the night, and of Watson's galaxies at the end of the night.  I didn't quite
time my last few observations right, so I didn't get as many calibration images
as I should have.

The winds were much lighter tonight which helped with the seeing.  Though it
wasn't great, at around 1.2 , it was still better than the last three nights.

There was a slight hiccup midway through the night when the focus on the guider
camera went out and had to be manually reset again, but that happened only once.
