MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2010 Nov 05 Observer(s): Joe Antognini, Haojing Yan Institution(s): OSU Instrument: OSMOS Worked for 12 hours (all night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.0 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Tonight was much more uneventful, and hence, productive. There were some cirrus clouds again in the evening in morning, but the middle of the night was clear enough for some imaging. There were no winds to speak of; the seeing was variable, averaging around 1.2 , but occasionally dipping down to 0.9 . We had to manually set the guider focus at the beginning of the night, but we didn't run into any problems with it afterward. Not having any mechanical problems tonight, I managed to get a fair amount of calibration data, and an extra spectrum of a supernova in an odd-looking galaxy to boot. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2010 Nov 6 [7:12:09]
