MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2010 Oct 09 Observer(s): D. Milisavljevic Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: Mark III + Templeton Worked for 11 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm End: Seeing 2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Fairly smooth night with clear skies throughout. Andor cameras continue to work well with no problems encountered. Ability to focus in 'real time' while exposing is advantageous. Seeing was variable and not nearly as good as last night, which was disappointing. Had a good chuckle when I could easily locate a +19 mag supernova with a 1.5 sec integration speed. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2010 Oct 10 [5:56:36]
