MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2010 Oct 18 Observer(s): Riethmiller, Sweeney Institution(s): Ohio University Instrument: Templeton Worked for 10 hours (most of the night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: High Humidity from 02:00 until 06:00. Beg: Seeing 1.82 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.37 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 2.48 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate Observing Summary: Clear conditions in the evening, opened on schedule. Got 2.5 hours on one asteroid before losing it in the moonlight. Completed another 4 hours on a second asteroid before noticing problems with humidity (see trouble report). Closed mirror covers until humidity dropped, then attempted observations of a third asteroid.
