MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2010 Sep 12 Observer(s): Schroeder Institution(s): Columbia Instrument: Echelle Worked for 11 hours (all night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds from 6 until 12. Beg: Overcast, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.0 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Restarting the TCS required restarting the guiding camera system. Unfortunately, I did not learn this until 11 pm when the clouds started lifting. John Thorstenson and I worked out how to restart the guiding camera. It works again. The password to the computer and the COMPORT needed to guide are now on the white board. I ran out of time to download all my data.
