MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2010 Sep 19

Worked for 8 hours (most of the night)
Conditions were Mixed most of the night.
Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details.

Seeing and Weather:
   Clouds all night.
   Beg: Overcast, Winds Light & Variable
   Mid: Seeing 1+ arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable
   End: Seeing 1+ arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm

Observing Summary:

Evening started off with threatening clouds and a thunderstorm to our west.  Initially, it was moving this way, so we did a lightning shutdown.
Eventually, it stalled out and dissipated and we were able to open.  We were back up and rolling by 22:00.  At initial opening, we also had a problem with the OSMOS dark hatch.
The last half of the evening had patchy clouds and was generally just ok.
