MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2010 Sep 27

Instrument: Direct + Echelle

Worked for 6 hours (off and on through the night)
Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night.
Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details.

Seeing and Weather:
   Clouds from 7pm until 10pm.
   Beg: Overcast, Winds Calm
   Mid: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm
   End: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm

Observing Summary:

Mostly overcast at sunset, clearing after 10PM but
marginal conditions with bands of patchy clouds.

The Echelle camera has been misbehaving, with what
looked like intermittent charge transfer problems. 
I made use of the not-so-good time to experiment with 
various exposure and try to find out exactly when this
problem manifest itself see trouble report).

I nevertheless managed to get some science data in
the end, but it is unclear if they will be useful for
astrometry, due to the possible charge transfer problem.
