MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2011 Dec 30 Observer(s): Hsu Institution(s): Michigan Instrument: OSMOS + 'blue'4k Worked for 11 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.6 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm End: Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Observed spectra of YSOs in Orion. The weather was great. The guider problem has improved, but is not completely fixed. I was able to focus the guider camera in the beginning of the night, but the guider camera progressively become more and more out of focus throughout the night. Since the temperature didn't change much, the focus should not have changed so significantly. I wonder if the guider camera was not very well mounted and was sliding when the telescope moves. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2011 Dec 31 [6:58:44]
