MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2011 Feb 18

Conditions were Overcast most of the night.
No equipment or software problems were encountered.

Seeing and Weather:
   Clouds all night.

Observing Summary:

Clouded over all night, left dome closed (KPNO status was closed all night too). Played with lamps a bit. 

System hung once with message: IC> WARNING: ERROR: No Response ACQTAG=CCDS.20020907095913. Everything seemed to work normally again after a couple minutes. 

I noticed around 5am that the temperature display said: Coils seem to be frozen! Defrosting to 9.8 C. Coil heater ON. From the settings and display it seemed like this was a normal response. At 7:15am the dome ambient temp is 9.2, mirror 6.9 (safe 5.6), coils 5.6 (cold air output 9.4), rel hum 63.9, dome dewpoint 3.6. Since it looks like it should be a bit colder tonight I left the mirror desired temp at the 4.0 Bob set it at Friday. Left mirror heater toggle OFF.

Forecast says 70% chance of showers today, 50% tonight, so could be closed again tonight.
