MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2011 Feb 24 Observer(s): Brendan Miller Institution(s): University of Michigan Instrument: CCDS Worked for 9 hours (all night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate Observing Summary: Problem at beginning of night: experienced shock turning auto-guider on and telescope began to slew south. After stopping it, eventually was directed by Bob to restart TCS software, after which telescope controlled normally. Lost 0.5 hrs. Seeing was mostly good, somewhat variable. Humidity dropped sharply during the night, and it was fairly breezy. Dome didn't quite return to home position, so adjusted manually. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2011 Feb 25 [6:58:30]
