MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2011 Jan 19 Observer(s): Jackie Faherty and Sebastien Lepine Institution(s): American Museum of Natural History Instrument: Nellie Worked for 10 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: High Humidity from 2 until 7. Beg: Seeing 1 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate Mid: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: The night started with 10-12 mph winds. In the middle of the night the humidity crept up to 75%. Condensation appeared on the images as a result. At the end of the night we turned the lamp lights on to attempt to clear the condensation. While observing a star close to the zenith the dome seemed to get stuck and kept moving back and forth. I moved to a different target and the problem was resolved. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2011 Jan 20 [7:46:37]
