MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2011 Jan 24

Worked for 13 hours (all night)
Conditions were Mixed most of the night.
Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details.

Seeing and Weather:
   Beg: Clear, Winds Light & Variable
   Mid: Patchy Clouds, Winds Moderate
   End: Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm

Observing Summary:

Shortly after Bob left this afternoon, echelle started having charge transfer issues.
I opened at sunset and attempted once more with a band star and comparison spectrum.
Line profiles still did not look right, so I switched over to Retrocam.

Retrocam was a mixed bag.  It worked perfectly, but for it to be in focus
the guider could not be in focus.  I inspected the coarse adjustment for the
guider focus as described by JT in a phone call, but was not confident enough
that I wouldn't screw something up by trying to move it.  

Thus, image quality was poor to mediocre due to guiding errors, as well as the
patchy clouds.
