MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2011 Jun 19 Observer(s): John Thorstensen Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: Nellie direct + Buckeye FW Worked for 9 hours (all night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1+ arcsec, Smoke, Winds Moderate Mid: Seeing 1+ arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1+ arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Windy yesterday - power glitch midday, but I fortunately was awake and thought to reset the A/C breaker (which had tripped). Then it got somewhat smoky later in the afternoon because of a fire somewhere down in the Baboquivaris -- some alarm over this, but I guess it was far away. Opened anyway, and weather improved dramatically through the night -- winds decreased to almost nothing, and it became very clear. Seeing was decent but not exceptional (as it has been this run). ------------------------------ Submitted on 2011 Jun 20 [5:13:20]
