MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2011 Mar 01 Observer(s): Kathryn Kreckel Institution(s): Columbia Instrument: CCDS Worked for 10 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm Observing Summary: Another nice night of observing, only a few clouds encountered. Observed galaxy rotation curves. I also tried to observe one of the polar ring galaxies that I had intended to observe with the 1800 grooves per mm grating, and it looks OK for my purposed even with the reduced spectral resolution of the 600 grooves per mm grating. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2011 Mar 2 [6:53:09]
