MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2011 May 08 Observer(s): Matthias Dietrich Institution(s): OSU Instrument: OSMOS Worked for 7.5 hours (most of the night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds from 23:00 until 5:00. Beg: Seeing 1.0 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate, seeing varied (2x) Mid: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Moderate, seeing varied (2x) End: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable, seeing varied (2x) Observing Summary: The observations suffered from the clouds and the variable seeing which was at the beginning of the second half of the night in the range of 2 to 3 arcsec. Three BALQSOs and two standard stars were observed. However, the data quality of the spectra of the second half of the night was not as well due to the weather conditions. The pointing of the 2.4m was very well and also OSMOS worked fine. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2011 May 9 [5:41:10]
