MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2011 Oct 14 Observer(s): Joe Antognini Institution(s): OSU Instrument: OSMOS (Red detector) Worked for 10 hours (most of the night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing .8 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing .7 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm End: Seeing .7 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm Observing Summary: There were a few cirrus clouds for most of the night. These worsened until around an hour or so before twilight, at which point they cleared up. The seeing remained good throughout the night nevertheless. Most of the night was spent collecting photometry on high-z QSO candidates. Towards the end of the night the targets were all low in the sky and there were cirrus clouds, so I took spectra of an L dwarf. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2011 Oct 15 [5:58:47]
