MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2011 Sep 05 Observer(s): Matthias Dietrich Institution(s): OSU Instrument: OSMOS Worked for 3.0 hours (part of the night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Clouds all night. Beg: Overcast, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm End: Seeing 2.0 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm Observing Summary: For the first half of the night the sky was overcast. During this time bias and flat field spectra were taken. Around 0:30pm local time the sky started to clear up, at 0:45pm the dome was opened and at ~1pm I could start observing. First, a standard star and then one BALQSO. However, the guide probe was lost several times due to clouds and at 5am I closed the dome. Due to clouds only part of the open time was useful. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2011 Sep 6 [5:25:54]
