MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2011 Sep 18

Worked for 10 hours (all night)
Conditions were Photometric most of the night.
No equipment or software problems were encountered.

Seeing and Weather:
   Beg: Seeing 1+ arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable
   Mid: Seeing 1+ arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable
   End: Seeing 1+ arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable

Observing Summary:

Today, the noise problem I was having with the new system 
mysteriously resolved -- I'd put on an extra ground wire at 
Bob Leach's suggestion, and tested after I put it on and the 
noise was gone!  But it was also gone after I took the wire
off!  So we still don't know what was doing it.  

Very good night - monsoon is over.  Seeing was only OK, not
spectacular, but it was pho-to-metric. 

I had to leave at 4:30, and left a retrocam time series going
for Helena Uthas and Miguel at the 1.3m.  They will close the
telescope within the hour.
