MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2012 Apr 25

Bad weather most of the night.

Seeing and Weather:
   Clouds from dusk until 4:30.
   Beg: Overcast, Winds Moderate
   Mid: Overcast, Winds Moderate
   End: Seeing 1.36 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Moderate

Observing Summary:

Almost all the night we had nasty clouds. The wind was ~ 15-25 mph
all night. At about 4:00am it cleared up, and we opened
after making sure that most of the sky was clear and the humidity
stayed low (~ 20-25%). It took us 30min to get set up, and after 
only one science image (12min) the clouds came up again. We decided
that it was not worth it and closed up (humidity ~30%). However,
after the twilight it started to clear up again, and the clouds
were mostly in the East close to the horizon. We opened up again
to take sky flat in the DES Y-band, and managed to take a number
of good images with sufficient counts. The humidity stayed at
~< 35%.
