MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2012 Aug 27

Worked for 5 hours (part of the night)
Conditions were Photometric most of the night.
Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details.

Seeing and Weather:
   Clouds from 7 until 10:30.
   Beg: Overcast, Winds Light & Variable
   Mid: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable
   End: Clear, Winds Light & Variable

Observing Summary:

During the afternoon there were storms in the area, so I performed 
a lightning shutdown procedure.  Around 9, I restarted everything.
It was cloudy until around 10:30, and then it was clear and dry
 enough to observe.  I noticed
an odd effect in my images, horizontal stripes (dark noise 
perhaps?). The effect shows up in dark, bias and image frames.  I
took images until 3:30 am and then stowed the telescope (after
 talking with my advisor, decided to quit for the night).
