MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2012 Feb 01 Observer(s): McGraw Institution(s): Ohio University Instrument: OSMOS/Blue and Red Worked for 12 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.9 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1.9 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: There were cirrus at the beginning of the night, but it soon cleared and didn't affect observing at all. One issue was encountered when running osctrtask, the procedure produced an error with the iraf task ccfind, which caused the task to quit abnormally. The error reported by osctrtask was a 'floating point overflow'. This only occurred for one target, and when I increased the exposure time for the field, the error went away. Otherwise it was a clear night. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2012 Feb 2 [6:45:38]
