MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2012 Feb 04 Observer(s): Antognini Institution(s): OSU Instrument: R4K Direct Worked for 11 hours (most of the night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing .8 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing .7 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm End: Seeing .6 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm Observing Summary: I had some trouble getting started as I ran into a strange bug in Prospero in which images would fail to write to the proper filename. The bug was fixed by rebooting the IC computer. This problem took a little less than an hour to diagnose and fix. Most of the night was spent observing z ~ 6 QSOs and L/T dwarfs with DES izY photometry. Two photometric standards were squeezed in at the end for good measure. The weather was cooperative though there were some thin cirrus clouds throughout the night. Seeing was reasonably good and was consistently under 1 . ------------------------------ Submitted on 2012 Feb 5 [7:21:31]
