MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2012 Feb 05 Observer(s): Antognini Institution(s): OSU Instrument: R4K Direct Worked for 11 hours (all night) Conditions were Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing .8 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing .8 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: The night was generally good. Seeing was okay (around 0.8 arcseconds for most of the night) and there were cirrus clouds which dissipated towards the end of the night. I did run into another strange bug in Prospero. At some point (which was entirely random as far as I can tell) Prospero silently failed to write the images. It took me about an hour to notice this but the problem was fixed by restarting Prospero. Several hours were spent observing a transit for a Kelt planet candidate and the rest of the night was spent getting DES izY photometry of z ~ 6 QSOs, L & T dwarfs, and photometric standards. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2012 Feb 6 [7:18:23]
