MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2012 Jan 19

Instrument: Modspec + Nellie

Worked for 13 hours (all night)
Conditions were Photometric most of the night.
No equipment or software problems were encountered.

Seeing and Weather:
   Beg: Seeing 1+ arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable
   Mid: Seeing 1+ arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable
   End: Seeing 1 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable

Observing Summary:

Perfectly clear; seeing was occasionally very good.  Spectroscopy
of cataclysmic binaries.  

No problems, but I'm noticing that the dome shutter is making 
quite a racket in the last 10 feet or so of opening -- like a
bass drum player on powerful stimulants. These noises do not
occur during closing, only opening.
