MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2012 Jan 20

Worked for 13 hours (all night)
Conditions were Photometric most of the night.
Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details.

Seeing and Weather:
   Beg: Seeing 1+ arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable
   Mid: Seeing 1 arcsec, Clear, Winds Moderate
   End: Seeing 1 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable

Observing Summary:

Looked very unpromising in the afternoon, with heavy-duty cirrus,
but it improved dramatically after sunset -- really, there 
wasn't anything at all on the all-sky camera, which is working
at the moment.  Light cirrus did come rolling in toward morning.

Used the Andor as a science instrument at one point, taking 
half-second exposures of very fast eclipse ingress and egress in
a magnetic CV.  

Everything worked except for a minor glitch with the 
instrument rotator, described in trouble 
report.
