MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2012 Jan 25 Observer(s): Shields and McGraw Institution(s): Ohio University Instrument: OSMOS/Blue Worked for 12 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 2.2 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 3.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 2.2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: Seeing was pretty bad most of the night, thin cirrus clouds early but sky was very clear for most of the night. Some inefficiencies in the first half of the night due to changes in instrument setup from its state during our previous run. Bias showed some anomalies in early exposures during the afternoon, not seen later. Consultation with Paul Martini suggests this is temporary flakiness associated with getting the detector cooled back down and running again. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2012 Jan 26 [7:08:32]
