MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2012 May 05 Observer(s): Julie Skinner Institution(s): Dartmouth College Instrument: CCDS Worked for 10 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Calm Mid: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm End: Seeing 1 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: It was a mostly clear night with good seeing and a bright, full moon. There were cirrus clouds around intermittently, but they were not a problem. I had some trouble with the rotator. It stopped moving and I recycled the power as usual, but it took a few times to work (including some amount of wait time before powering up again) and then immediately stopped again. I lost little time, but also didn't use it the rest of the night because it was unreliable. I decided I would rather be stuck at zero than a different angle. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2012 May 6 [5:28:46]
