MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2012 Oct 05 Observer(s): De Rosa, Fausnaugh Institution(s): OSU Instrument: OSMOS Worked for 12 hours (all night) Conditions were Mixed most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Clouds from 8 until 9. Beg: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable, bright moon Observing Summary: When we started calibrations in the afternoon, prospero was frozen. After several calls, Bob walked us through the trouble shooting-- the IC computer had frozen, and rebooting it fixed the problem. Phones lines died around 5:30. Weather started partly cloudy, got worse around 8:30, we lost around 1 hour because the visible targets were occulted.
