MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2012 Oct 05

Worked for 12 hours (all night)
Conditions were Mixed most of the night.
Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details.

Seeing and Weather:
   Clouds from 8 until 9.
   Beg: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable
   Mid: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable
   End: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable, bright moon

Observing Summary:

When we started calibrations in the afternoon, prospero was frozen.
After several calls, Bob walked us through the trouble shooting--
the IC computer had frozen, and rebooting it fixed the problem.

Phones lines died around 5:30.

Weather started partly cloudy, got worse around 8:30, we lost
around 1 hour because the visible targets were occulted.
Reopened at 9:30, and the night proceeded smoothly.
