MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2012 Oct 21

Worked for 10 hours (most of the night)
Conditions were Mixed most of the night.
Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details.

Seeing and Weather:
   High Humidity from 9 until 10UT.
   Beg: Seeing 1.6 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm
   Mid: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable
   End: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm

Observing Summary:

Problems with CamFocus, IC timeouts, and slow responses to OSMOS commands costed 2-3 hours.  Tried restarting software, cycling IE power, and restarting IC computer.  These steps sometimes appeared to fix the problems, but the problems would quickly re-appear.

The night started out calm with just some clouds low around the NW & SE horizons.  I had to close due to high humidity for an hour during the early morning.

Observed 2 standards and 3 QSOs.
