MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2013 Apr 23 Observer(s): Jenna M. Nugent Institution(s): U. of Oklahoma Instrument: OSMOS, R4K Worked for 10.5 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Clear, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1.4 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Observing Summary: I had problems focusing the guider for most of the night. Also, the guider lost its pointing. Moving it to origin and then re-selecting the guide star helped both with the pointing and guider focus. Sometime in the early morning, high wispy clouds moved in and nearly covered the sky, making it difficult to observe. It cleared up right before twilight. Finally, the weather screen froze late in the morning. See trouble report. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2013 Apr 24 [6:17:19]
