MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2013 Dec 12

Worked for 12 hours (all night)
Conditions were Mixed most of the night.
Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details.

Seeing and Weather:
   High Humidity from 5am until end.
   Beg: Seeing 1.2 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Calm
   Mid: Seeing 1.0 arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm
   End: Patchy Clouds, Winds Light & Variable

Observing Summary:

Encountered serious telescope problems (see separate trouble 
report).

Minor issues :
1. prospero reports the status of Filter2 for OSMOS to be unknown,
   the reset command does not remedy this.
   As indicated in the manual (and by other observers), I will go 
   through the power cycling tomorrow.
   As I could assume the slot was empty, because I had not used any
   filters at all, I simply ignored the error message.
2. despite the dome contactor box being perfectly aligned,
    the drop-out had difficulties in only coming in very 
    intermittently

When RH > 87% around 5am, I was forced to close -- and until
6:20 the humidity in the dome kept being above 90%
    ---> decided to call it a night.
