MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2013 Jan 06 Observer(s): John Thorstensen Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: Modspec + templeton Worked for 13 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. Problems were encountered, see the separate trouble report for details. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 2+ arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Moderate Mid: Seeing 1.5 arcsec, Clear, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1+ arcsec, Clear, Winds Calm Observing Summary: After a cloudy day, it cleared off in the afternoon and remained nearly clear all night -- just a little residual cirrus early on. Seeing started off poor and improved. Focus changed rather more than usual early in the night, probably a bigger temperature drop than normal. Wind died down through the night.
