MDM Observatory 2.4m Telescope Observing Report for 2013 Jan 09 Observer(s): John Thorstensen Institution(s): Dartmouth Instrument: Modspec + Templeton Worked for 13 hours (all night) Conditions were Non-Photometric most of the night. No equipment or software problems were encountered. Seeing and Weather: Beg: Seeing 1+ arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable Mid: Seeing 1 arcsec, Cirrus, Winds Light & Variable End: Seeing 1.3 arcsec, Patchy Clouds, Winds Moderate Observing Summary: It was pretty cirrussy in the late afternoon, which really harshed my mellow because I had some time series to complete tonight, but fortunately the night was mostly clear. The seeing was even decent much of the time. Toward morning, the winds kicked up and bands heavy cirrus started passing through, but fortunately I didn't lose anything too crucial. A storm is forecast to pass through tomorrow night, so it's unlikely I'll open, which would make this the productive night of the run. ------------------------------ Submitted on 2013 Jan 10 [6:57:03]
